• Protocol: SHOUTcast v1
• Server: 62.210.24.124
• Port: 8615
• Bitrate: 128 kbps (MP3, Stereo)
• Password: (ASK IN-WORLD)
AUTODJ VS PERSONAL STREAM
• AutoDJ:
– Club’s official radio, always on
– Plays a default playlist between sets
– Fades out automatically when a DJ connects
– Ensures Wild Angels Radio is never silent
– Anyone with the stream can hear our DJs live, even offline
• Personal Stream:
– DJ’s own stream pointed directly to the land
– Only works for that set, no fallback
– Must be swapped back after the set ends
– If forgotten, the club can go silent
– Only heard while you’re live and only if land media is set to it
Always connect using AutoDJ. It keeps music flowing and the station consistent.
MIXXX SETUP
• Open Mixxx → Options > Preferences > Live Broadcasting
• Enter:
– Type: Shoutcast 1
– Mount: (leave blank)
– Host: 62.210.24.124
– Port: 8615
– Login: (leave blank)
– Password: (ASK IN-WORLD)
• Encoding: 128 kbps, MP3, Stereo
• Make sure Auto Connect is turned OFF
• Apply → Load music → Click the Broadcast (antenna) icon to go live
SAM BROADCASTER SETUP
• Open SAM Broadcaster → Desktop B > Encoders
• Add New Encoder:
– Format: MP3 (LAME_ENC)
– Bitrate: 128 kbps, Stereo
• Configure:
– Type: Shoutcast 1
– Mount: (leave blank)
– Host: 62.210.24.124
– Port: 8615
– Login: (leave blank)
– Password: (ASK IN-WORLD)
• Make sure Auto Connect is turned OFF
• Save → Start encoder when ready
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Encoder won’t connect?
• Make sure you’re on SHOUTcast v1, not v2
• Password must be (ASK IN-WORLD)
– Type it in manually — do NOT copy/paste
• Confirm bitrate is 128 kbps MP3 Stereo
• Firewall or antivirus may block port 8845
– Add Mixxx or SAM to your firewall/antivirus allowed list (whitelist the program)
• Wrong encoder format (must be plain MP3)
• Wrong encoder selected (must be LAME MP3, not Fraunhofer or other types)
• Bitrate mismatch (must be 128 kbps, stereo)
• Software glitch — restart Mixxx or SAM
Connected but no sound?
• Check output device (sound card/mixer)
• Verify music is actually playing
• Mixxx: Antenna (Broadcast) button must be on
• SAM: Encoder must be started (green light)
Stream cuts in/out?
• Someone else may have Auto Connect turned on
– Make sure the previous DJ has disconnected
– If they have, call out in staff chat to see if someone is connecting to the stream
• Close heavy internet apps (Netflix, downloads, Discord calls)
• Use wired connection if possible
• Restart software and reconnect
Still stuck?
• As a last resort, drop a backup stream in land
– Make sure to replace the Wild Angels Radio when you are finished
